Marcia Stremlau

Originally from Boston and Cape Cod, Marcia has lived on the coast of Maine as well as the Cape since 1970. Her acrylic paintings, watercolors and unique books and panels depict scenes from Downeast Maine and the shores of Cape Cod.

Trained at the Art Student's League in New York, Lake Erie College, and the College of the Atlantic, she is a vital part of the Maine artistic community. She has exhibited her work in Maine and New York City and is a regular partipant of the Spruce Head residency.

When Marcia is not in her studio or walking the woods and beaches with her partner Peter Stremlau and their dogs, she can be found at their gallery Flye Point Sculpture & Art Gallery.

Flye Point Sculpture & Art Gallery

In 2014, our opening year, the Flye Point Sculpture Garden & Art Gallery is showing works by sculptors Obadiah Buelle, Ray Carbone, Susan Chase, Eleonora Lecei and John Wilkinson along with ceramic art by Linda Casbon, Rocky Mann, Meden Parker and Gail Savitz. Fine art and accordion books by Marcia Stremlau are on display in the gallery along with works of other Maine and Maine-inspired artists.
